Interview with Blue about The Wicked Prince Charmings Release

1. WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE FAIRYTALE AS A LITTLE GIRL?

I think one of my favorite fairytales as a little girl was Cinderella, but I loved The Little Mermaid too. Ah, who am I kidding? I loved any fantasy world I could get lost in.

2. WHAT MADE YOU RETELL CINDERELLA AND BEAUTY AND THE BEAST?

Honestly, I let the other authors pick first. ? I took what was left. Cinderella jumped out because I knew I wanted to write it as my contemporary book and I knew what I wanted to do with my Prince Charming.
For my PNR book, I had originally taken Snow White, I think. I wasn't happy, LOL, but I took it. Rapunzel was just too obvious to me for a paranormal book. I wanted something that would be a challenge and that I could play with and make my own. When KT changed to Little Red Riding Hood, I jumped on Beauty and The Beast and told her she couldn’t have it back. ????
I could see so clearly what I wanted to do with the characters and the story. It started to talk immediately. The imagery and the magic that I wanted to come off the page. I needed this one. ??? Thanks to KT for changing her book.

3. HOW DID THIS PROJECT COME ABOUT?

When I took on the ladies there books weren’t slated until 2020. However, I wanted to challenge them and get them used to the publishing process. It’s easier to learn to edit and go through the motions for a 30 to 40k book as opposed to an 85k and better book. I also wanted to challenge them. It’s one thing to write a book you love and came up with the concept for. It’s another to have to work your imagination to retell old favorites in your own voice. I think we’ve each done that ten times over.
These are not your mother’s fairytales.

4. IF YOU COULD TELL ME ONE THING ABOUT YOUR VERSION OF THE CINDERELLA WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Have your fan ready.

5. IF YOU COULD TELL ME ONE THING ABOUT YOUR VERSION OF BEAUTY AND THE BEAST WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Make sure to have water handy.

6. WHAT WAS THE MOST DIFFICULT PART OF WRITING THESE FAIRYTALES?

Making them fit my writing style and heat level. Once I figured out how I was going to put the heat into these old tales the rest was just fun.

7. WOULD YOU DO THIS AGAIN?

I would and with this group of authors, I have no doubt we could swap and take each other’s fairytales and still come up with something fresh and exciting. Hmmm. Might just happen. ?????

8. IF YOU COULD DO THIS AGAIN WHICH FAIRYTALE WOULD YOU TELL?

Rumpelstilzchen? Maybe. ?

9. WHAT DO YOU THINK I AS A READER WILL ENJOY MOST ABOUT YOUR RETELLINGS?

They’re fun, they’re hot, and they’re coming for your emotions. Every single, last one! ?

10. WHERE CAN I GET MY COPY?

Coming soon to Amazon Kindle Unlimited. Stay tuned for the release date reveal.
